I've got the Jester kit but have yet to get it on the building table. Looks to be a great kit but I've just had too many other projects going on to get to it quite yet. It's next in line to go on the table but I have 3 planes I'm building for others to finish up before I can start it.
I've studied the plans and can see several ways to lighten it up during the build. I will also install a ballast system into it for flying on windy days. Better to build light and add ballast than to build it like a brick and have to fight to keep it in the air on a calm day.
jeff the construction of the jester did the standard completely unchanged as I have flown about 10 times around, let me tell you a very good glider can fly very well in strong wind with Ballast and in very light wind behaves great, I really able to fly in conditions of little little wind with and a tendency to float and float mine weights 40oz with standart materials.
let me tell you, is really a great thermal glider you're just left a thermal and move and move circling and circling and begins to climb and climb, the transfer speed is excellent between thermals
overall great kit great flyer
hope to put some pictures of the construction of the jester
im actually finished my scepter only have to cover late i will put some pics soon.
Well that's good to hear Alberto. I'm looking forward to getting the build started but as I said before I've got a couple of projects that have to be finished up first. I'll let you know when I'm starting it and will post pics of the build.
